Pick and pack fulfillment

Hello everybody,

I hope you all are doing well. Earlier today, I went through the questions that I got after my last post. It seems like there has been some misunderstandings about pick and pack. This was what I wanted to avoid but I totally get that it’s complicated for people that are not into that world at all. I am, to say the least, very involved in pick and pack, obviously.

I think one part of the problem – and the reason why many of you seem to have gotten confused about pick and pack – was that I just jumped into the topic right away. Therefore, let’s go to the basics of pick and pack now. If you still feel like you lack the knowledge that you want about the matter afterwards. Please, send your questions in the comment section!

What is pick and pack?

Spend a second thinking about how many e-commerce businesses there are. Small, medium and large companies selling their stuff and hoping for the business to grow. Imagine if all of these companies stored, packed and sent all of their stuff themselves. Society would pretty much consist of warehouses. For most businesses, it’s a no-brainer to outsource pick and pack to a fulfillment partner. Because that’s what it is all about. Pick and pack is a order fulfillment process in which a company, like ours, are carrying out services for several different e-commerce businesses. They usually have a gigantic warehouse where they can store products of various kinds. These products are picked and packed once a customer places an order.

This is pick and pack explained in very short terms. Again, let me know if you want me to explain this further. I’d be happy to.

What is it like working with pick and pack fulfillment?

If I’m being totally honest, I think this work fits some people much better than others. It is a perfect job for me since there is a lot focus on details. All different parts of the machinery have to be in place for the machine to work. I like that aspect of everything that I do, and that’s the main reason why I like working in pick and pack. Also, and of course, my co-workers are also awesome, making it a fun everyday job!

Talk to you soon!
